This cake recipe has always been a part of my family since I was a little kid. I am so glad that my Grandma taught me this incredible recipe! Oh, man, try it now! Feel free to add more ingredients if you prefer. I am sure that you can do a lot with this very simple recipe. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

Cake:

1 1/2 c sugar

2 c all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

2 large Eggs

1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapples, with juice

1 c brown sugar

1 c pecans, chopped

Icing:

1 c evaporated milk

1/2 c sugar

1/2 c (1 stick) unsalted butter

1 tsp vanilla

Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.

Step 2: Apply cooking spray in a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Step 3: Add the flour, sugar, salt, and baking soda into a large mixing bowl. Whisk until well combined.

Step 4: Add the pineapple and eggs. Stir until well combined.

Step 5: Transfer the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.

Step 6: Spread a layer of pecans and brown sugar over the batter.

Step 7: Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean after inserting it in the middle.

Step 8: Place a saucepan on the stove and add the butter, milk, and sugar. Stir until just mixed, then turn the heat to medium-high. Allow the mixture to boil.

Step 9: Remove the saucepan from the heat and immediately add the vanilla extract. Stir until well blended.

Step 10: Pour the mixture on top of the cake and spread it evenly.

Step 11: Allow the cake to rest at room temperature for a few minutes.

Step 12: Serve and enjoy!
