Ingredients:
1 whole chicken
1 small diced onion
1 stick butter
2 cups Bisquick
2 cups milk
1 can(s) of cream of chicken soup
1 tablespoon chicken broth paste (or cube)
1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Place a large pot with water on the stove and turn the heat to high. Allow the water to boil.
Add the whole chicken, onion, salt, and pepper. Cook until done.
Remove the chicken from the pot and remove the bones. Slice into small pieces. Set aside the broth.
Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
1st Layer:
Add melted butter in a 9×12-inch baking dish.
Add the chicken pieces on top and spread them evenly.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
2nd Layer:
In a mixing bowl, add the poultry seasoning, Bisquick, and milk. Stir until well combined.
Spread the mixture on top of the chicken pieces.
3rd Layer:
In a mixing bowl, add the chicken cube and 2 cups of broth. Stir until well combined.
Pour the mixture on top of the chicken.
Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for about an hour or until it turns golden brown.
Remove from the oven and allow it to cool at room temperature.
