Ingredients:

1 (16 oz) package linguine pasta

2 tbsp butter

2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil

2 shallots, finely diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 pinch red pepper flakes (optional)

1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 pinch kosher salt and freshly ground pepper

½ c dry white wine

1 lemon, juiced

2 tbsp butter

2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil

¼ c finely chopped fresh parsley leaves

1 tsp extra-virgin olive oil, or to taste

Directions:

Place a large pot with salted water on the stove and turn the heat to high. Allow the water to boil.

Add the linguine and cook for about 8 minutes or until al dente. Drain and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process.

Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.

Add butter and allow it to melt.

Add the garlic, shallots, and red pepper flakes. Saute until aromatic and soft.

Season with salt and pepper the prepared shrimp.

Add the shrimp into the skillet and cook each side until done. Remove from the skillet onto a clean plate.

In the same skillet, add lemon juice and white wine. Scrape the bottom to get the brown bits, then stir until well mixed. Allow the mixture to boil.

Add more butter and allow it to melt, then add olive oil. Simmer for a few minutes.

Put the shrimp back to the skillet as well as the linguine. Toss everything until well combined.

Add parsley, salt, and pepper to taste.

Drizzle about a teaspoon of olive oil on top.

Serve and enjoy!
