12 oz. package of medium Egg noodles, cooked

16 oz. bag of shredded cheese (cheddar, Colby-jack, mozzarella, etc.) (mix and match the flavours as you would like to equal 16 ounces)

1 lb. hamburger meat

1 tsp garlic salt

24 oz. jar of spaghetti sauce, any flavour

1 envelope of thick and zesty dry spaghetti sauce mix

16 oz. carton of sour cream

Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.

Apply cooking spray in a 9×13-inch casserole dish.

Place a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.

Add the meat, then cook each side for a few minutes until brown. Sprinkle 1 tsp of garlic salt to season. Discard accumulated fat and remove the skillet from the stove.

Transfer the meat into a large mixing bowl together with spaghetti sauce and 1 jar of spaghetti. Stir everything until well mixed.

Add about 1/3 of the cooked noodles into the prepared casserole dish and spread it evenly.

Add about 1/3 of the meat mixture over the noodles and spread it evenly.

Add about 1/3 of the sour cream over the meat mixture and spread it evenly.

Sprinkle 1/2 of the cheese over the sour cream.

Repeat the process until everything is arranged in layers ending with cheese.

Place the baking dish inside the preheated oven and bake the casserole for about 30 minutes or until done.

Remove from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes at room temperature.

Sprinkle your preferred freshly chopped herbs on top to garnish.

Serve warm and enjoy!

Feel free to use your preferred type of cheese for this recipe and be very generous with it!
