2 cloves garlic, minced
8 oz. canned water chestnuts, diced
General Tso’s Sauce:
3 tbsp sugar
2 tsp hoisin sauce

1 tbsp cornstarch
3 tbsp rice vinegar
How to make Ground General Tso’s Chicken
Step 1: Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large pan. Then, add the ground chicken and diced water chestnuts. Cook until a good crust forms. Break it apart and continue to cook for another 2 to 3 minutes, breaking the ground chicken apart using a spatula.
Step 2: Add the ginger along with the garlic and crushed red pepper flakes once the chicken is cooked. Continue to cook for additional 10 seconds.
Step 3: To make the sauce, whisk the rice vinegar, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, water, sugar, and a tablespoon of cornstarch in a small bowl until well combined. To the pan, pour in the sauce and bring to a boil. Cook for a couple of seconds more, stirring until the sauce has thickened.
