INGREDIENTS

½ tsp garlic powder

110 grams unsalted butter

320 grams plain flour

2 tsp dried parsley

4 tsp baking powder

1 tbsp sugar

415 ml buttermilk

1 tsp salt

How to make Garlic and Herb Butter Quick Bread

Step 1: Start by greasing a 20cm baking tin.

Step 2: In a bowl, place the butter and melt in the microwave. Once the butter has melted, add the garlic and 1 tsp of dried parsley to the bowl. Stir well until blended.

Step 3: Into the baking dish, pour the butter.

Step 4: Into a mixing bowl, add the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and the rest of the dried parsley. Whisk in the buttermilk until you have a thick batter.

Step 5: In the baking dish, put the batter. Score the bread using a knife to make 9 pieces.

Step 6: Place in a preheated 220 degrees C oven and bake for about 20 to 25 minutes until the bread is golden on top and has risen.

Step 7: Remove from the oven when done and allow the bread to slightly cool before inverting onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Step 8: Serve this garlic and herb butter quick bread either warm or cold. Enjoy!
