My kids always want to participate in the kitchen. I always love the idea of my kids helping me out to prep our meals so I allow them to. It is a great opportunity to bond, especially after a busy long day working and not seeing them. If you have kids, I know you understand. If not, wait for it! And I think nothing will replace the feeling of bonding over your favourite thing to do!

These Ham and Cheese Roll-Ups are a good start if you want to let your children take over the kitchen. It’s incredibly easy to throw together using three ingredients or more depending on what you want to add aside from ham and shredded cheese. Let your children get creative and allow their imagination to guide them! Like how I am letting my kids add their favourite toppings to make these delicious roll-ups. And serve these roll-ups with some sweet potato fries.

HOW TO MAKE HAM AND CHEESE ROLL-UPS

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 400 degrees. Using aluminium foil, wrap a baking sheet and grease with nonstick cooking spray.

Step 2: After opening the pizza dough, spread it on the lined cookie sheet. Place in the oven for about 5 minutes.

Step 3: Out of the cookie sheet, lift the foil, then lay the crust on the table. You can allow the crust to sit for about a minute to cool.

Step 4: Add your favourite topping combination on the crust. Roll the dough and place it in the middle of the foil seam-side down. Place it back in the pan and resume baking in the oven for another 10 to 15 minutes until the top is golden brown.

Step 5: Take from the oven when done and allow it to cool before cutting. Serve and enjoy!
