Ingredients
2 pkg (8 ounces) crescent rolls
1 cup butter
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 1/2 cups 7-up (or other lemon soda)
2 granny smith apples (2 apples makes 16 dumplings)
How to make Easy Crescent Apple Dumplings
Step 1: Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with butter and set it aside.
Step 2: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees.
Step 3: After peeling and coring the apples, slice them into 8 pieces. Then, in a crescent roll, roll each apple slice and place the rolls into the prepared baking dish.
Step 4: After melting the butter, whisk in the sugar along with the vanilla and cinnamon until thickened. Take the mixture off the heat and pour it over the dumplings. In the centre and along the edges of the pan, pour the soda. Make sure not to pour the soda directly over the rolls.
Step 5: Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 35 to 45 minutes until golden brown.
