Ingredients:
4 lbs beef brisket
1/3 c brisket rub homemade or store-bought
1/2 c beef broth
2 c barbecue sauce homemade or store-bought, divided use
cooking spray
Directions:
Prepare the oven and preheat to 150 degrees C or 300 degrees F.
Rub the meat with brisket rub. Make sure to coat it well.
Apply cooking spray in a large baking dish.
Add the beef broth and spread it evenly on the bottom of the baking dish.
Put the meat over the broth.
Spread 1 cup of the barbecue sauce over the meat.
Cover it with aluminium foil.
Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for about 3 1/2 hours or until done.
Apply cooking spray on a sheet pan.
Remove the meat from the baking dish, then transfer it onto the prepared pan.
Brush the top of the brisket with 1/4 cup of barbecue sauce.
Put it back inside the oven and broil for another 5 minutes or until the sauce caramelizes.
Remove from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes at room temperature.
Slice into even pieces.
Serve with the rest of the sauce. Enjoy!
