This is another easy crockpot recipe with shredded chicken smothered in savoury gravy. Another one of my favourite chicken recipes. All you need are a few simple ingredients and ten minutes to prep. Dump everything in your slow cooker and leave to cook. When you come back, shred or cut the chicken and tada! You have the most comforting meal for dinner.

Cold days are almost here, and we are now starting to make our favourite heartwarming and comforting slow cooker meals. To start the season right, I decided to make my family’s favourite, this Slow Cooker Chicken Breast with Gravy. A Southern classic that will guarantee to warm your tummies and hearts.

This slow cooker recipe has been my fave go-to for years now. The fork-tender chicken in a thick and flavorful gravy is just so hard to miss. Serve this with mashed potatoes or roasted/steamed veggies for the ultimate comfort food!



3 whole chicken breasts, boneless skinless (about 1 lb)

2 packets chicken gravy mix

1 1/4 c. Condensed Chicken Soup

1 1/2 c. water

1 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp paprika

1/2 c. sour cream

1/2 tsp kosher salt

1/4 tsp coarse ground black pepper

How to make Slow Cooker Chicken Breast with Gravy

Step 1: Sprinkle the chicken breasts with garlic powder, black pepper, and salt.

Step 2: Place the water, gravy packets, condensed chicken soup, garlic powder, salt, paprika, and pepper in a slow cooker. Whisk well until the mixture is smooth. Now, add the chicken breasts, flipping to coat both sides. Put the lid on and set to cook the chicken on low for 4 to 5 hours.

Step 3: Very carefully take the chicken from the slow cooker when done and shred or cut. Set aside for now.

Step 4: Into the gravy in the slow cooker, stir in the sour cream until smooth. Serve this over the shredded chicken. Enjoy!
