SLOW COOKER SWEDISH MEATBALLS

This will be perfect for Holiday dinners or busy weeknights. Slow cooker Swedish meatballs slow-cooked to perfection! Delicious, excellent for everybody, and the best comfort food!

Ingredients

Meatballs:

1 pound ground beef

1 pound ground pork

1/2 onion

1 large Egg

1 tbsp minced garlic

1 tbsp dried Italian seasoning

1 tsp salt

1/4 tsp pepper

Slow Cooker Swedish Meatballs:

1 1/4 c low sodium beef broth

1/2 c half and half

2 tbsp corn starch

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp minced garlic

1 tsp dried parsley

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp thyme

1/4 tsp pepper

1 pinch nutmeg

How to make Slow Cooker Swedish Meatballs

To prepare the Baked Meatballs:

Step 1: In a large bowl, mix the beef, pork, onion, egg, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and egg until just combined. Make sure to not overmix.

Step 2: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 400 degrees F.

Step 3: Use parchment paper to line a baking sheet.

Step 4: Form the meat mixture into 1 to 1.5-inches balls (total of around 35 pieces of 1.5-inches meatballs)

Step 5: Place the balls on the prepared baking sheet an inch apart.

Step 6: Place inside the preheated oven and bake for about 10 minutes or until just browned.

Step 7: When done, remove from the oven and allow the meatballs to cool for a bit. Note: You can freeze the meatballs for up to 3 months.

Slow Cooker Swedish Meatballs:

Step 1: Line a 2.5 to the 4-quart slow cooker with one Reynolds Kitchens Slow Cooker Liner.

Step 2: Put the meatballs into the prepared slow cooker.

Step 3: In a bowl, combine the broth, half and half, corn starch, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, parsley, salt, thyme, Pepper, and nutmeg until well mixed. And pour this on top of the meatballs.

Step 4: Cook for 4 to 5 hours on low or 2 to 4 hours on high until heated through and the sauce has thickened.

Step 5: Serve the meatballs with the sauce over mashed potatoes or egg noodles. Enjoy!
