Ingredients
2 tsp vegetable oil
1 1/2 lbs ground beef
16 oz tomato sauce
1/2 c ketchup
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp prepared mustard
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
Salt and pepper (to taste)
6 hamburger buns
6 slices yellow cheese
How to make Slow Cooker Sloppy Joes
Step 1: In a large pan, heat oil over medium-high heat.
Step 2: Once the oil is hot, add the ground beef. To taste, season with salt and pepper.
Step 3: Cook for about 6 to 8 minutes until browned. Use a wooden spoon to break up the meat.
Step 4: Add the cooked meat to the slow cooker, then the tomato sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Stir well to combine.
Step 5: Cook for 3 hours on high or 6 hours on low.
Step 6: Once done, spoon the sloppy joes onto the hamburger buns, top with cheese, and serve. Enjoy!
