1 1/2 pound. (0.6 kg) chicken thighs (4 chicken thighs)
Ground black pepper
1 1/2 tbsp cooking oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp chopped parsley
HONEY GARLIC SAUCE:
3 tbsp honey
1 tsp sugar or brown sugar
2 tbsp soy sauce
3 tbsp water or chicken broth, preferred
3 dashes of cayenne pepper
Season with salt and pepper on the chicken thighs.
In a mixing bowl, add honey, sugar, soy sauce, chicken broth, and cayenne pepper. Stir until well mixed.
Press the “Saute” button on the Instant Pot.
Add 1 tbsp of oil and allow it to become hot.
Add the chicken thighs and sear each side for a few minutes until they turn brown.
Add 1/2 tbsp of oil and garlic. Saute until aromatic.
Add the sauce and stir until just mixed.
Cover the Instant Pot and press the “Manual” and cook for about 10 minutes on a high setting.
Do a quick release, then remove the valve.
Garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
Serve and enjoy!
Serve this over rice and don’t forget to spoon the delicious sauce on top!
