Oh, my! I have never been this satisfied in my life! This Cowboy Casserole is so good that this is my 10th time cooking it this week! I have listed all the ingredients and directions so all you have to do is to follow them step by step and you are good to go! Feel free to add more ingredients if you prefer. Ingredients:
½ lb ground beef
1 small onion diced
2 garlic cloves minced
½ tsp black pepper
2 tsp seasoning salt divided
1 c corn
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 c cheddar jack cheese divided
1/3 c milk
¼ c sour cream
1 package frozen tater tots
Directions:
Prepare the oven and preheat to 190 degrees C or 375 degrees F.
Apply cooking spray in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Add the ground beef and cook until brown.
Add the garlic and onion. Saute until aromatic and translucent.
Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste.
Remove the skillet from the stove, then add the corn, milk, cream of mushroom soup, 1/2 cup cheese, and sour cream. Stir until well blended.
Transfer the mixture into the greased baking dish and spread it evenly.
Scatter the tater tots over the meat mixture. Sprinkle salt and pepper on top.
Put it inside the preheated oven and bake for about 40 minutes.
Sprinkle the rest of the cheese on top, then bake for another 10 minutes or until the top turns golden brown.
Remove from the oven and allow it to rest for a few minutes at room temperature.
