This recipe has always been a part of my family since I was a little kid. I remember my Grandma used to make this all the time! Oh, man, you should have seen her worked around the kitchen. She was a wizard! I am so grateful to her for a lot of things and this is just one of them. I have listed all the things you will need, so all you have to do is follow them step by step and you are good to go! Feel free to tweak the recipe to your liking. Have a wonderful day, friends, and I hope you are all well today. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
CAKE
1 pkg yellow cake mix
2 Eggs, room temperature
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 c (113g) butter, melted
FILLING
1 pkg (8 oz) cream cheese, room temperature
2 Eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 c (113g) butter, melted
4 c confectioners’ sugar
Directions:
Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Add 2 eggs, cake mix, melted butter, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla into a mixing bowl. Beat until well combined.
Apply cooking spray in a 9×13-inch cake pan.
Transfer the cake mixture into the prepared cake pan and spread it evenly.
In the bowl of a stand mixer, add the rest of the eggs, vanilla, melted butter, and cream cheese. Beat until well blended.
Add confectioners’ sugar gradually and beat every addition.
Spread the cream cheese mixture on top of the cake mixture.
Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for about 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean after inserting it in the middle.
Remove from the oven and allow it to cool at room temperature.
Serve and enjoy!
