Ingredients:

2 cups flour

2 cups of sugar

2 teaspoons baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/3 cup cocoa

1 cup buttermilk (or 1 tbsp vinegar to 1 cup milk, let sit for an hour)

1 cup of vegetable oil

1 cup boiling water

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 Eggs

ICING INGREDIENTS

1 cup of sugar

2 tablespoons light corn syrup

1/4 cup milk

2 tablespoons butter

1/2 package chocolate chips (6 oz.)

1 teaspoon vanilla

miniature marshmallows

1/3 cup chopped nuts, optional

Directions:

Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.

Step 2: Apply cooking spray in a 9×13-inch pan.

Step 3: In a medium mixing bowl, add the cocoa, flour, soda, salt, and sugar. Beat until well mixed.

Step 4: Add oil, eggs, buttermilk, vanilla, and boiling water. Beat until well mixed.

Step 5: Transfer the mixture into the prepared pan.

Step 6: Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean after inserting it in the middle.

Step 7: In a saucepan, add the milk, corn syrup, butter, and sugar. Place it on the stove and turn the heat to medium, then allow the mixture to boil for about 2 minutes.

Step 8: Add the vanilla, nuts, and chocolate chips. Stir until well mixed.

Step 9: Remove the cake from the oven and sprinkle the marshmallows on top.

Step 10: Drizzle the icing on top of the marshmallows.

Step 11: Allow the cake to cool for a few minutes.

Step 12: Serve and enjoy!
