These heavenly puffs are the best! You just need to give them a try and taste perfection yourself. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

1 ½ c all-purpose flour

1 ½ tsp baking powder

½ tsp salt

¼ tsp nutmeg

½ c white sugar

⅓ c shortening

1 Egg

½ c milk

½ c white sugar

1 tsp ground cinnamon

6 tbsp margarine, melted

Directions:

Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.

Step 2: Apply cooking spray or line with paper liners to the twelve muffin cups.

Step 3: Add flour, baking powder, nutmeg, and salt in a large mixing bowl.

Step 4: In another mixing bowl, add the shortening and 1/2 cup of sugar. Whisk until creamy.

Step 5: Add egg into the shortening mixture and beat until well combined.

Step 6: Transfer the flour mixture together with milk into the shortening mixture and beat until well combined.

Step 7: Transfer the batter into the prepared 12 cups.

Step 8: Place the muffin cups inside the preheated oven and bake for about 20 to 25 minutes or until done.

Step 9: Meanwhile, in a small mixing bowl, add 1 teaspoon cinnamon and 1/2 cup sugar. Whisk until well mixed.

Step 10: Remove the puffs from the oven and the pans.

Step 11: Dip each hot puff into the bowl with melted margarine then into the cinnamon/sugar mixture.

Step 12: Serve immediately. Enjoy!
