Fried Chicken, anyone? This awesome recipe is what you just might need today! I have listed all the ingredients and directions so all you have to do is to follow them step by step and you are good to go! Serve these bad boys with fries and you have yourself a meal to remember. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

1 (3 1/2) lb chicken, cut into 8 pieces

1 tsp black pepper

1 tsp salt

1 tsp paprika

¼ tsp dried rosemary

¼ tsp ground thyme

¼ tsp dried oregano

¼ tsp dried sage

½ tsp white pepper

¼ tsp cayenne pepper

2 c buttermilk

For the seasoned flour:

2 c flour

1 tsp salt

½ tsp paprika

½ tsp cayenne pepper

½ tsp garlic powder

½ tsp white pepper

½ tsp onion powder

2 ½ quarts peanut oil for frying

Directions:

In a large mixing bowl, add cayenne, sage, oregano, white pepper, paprika, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Whisk until well combined.

Add the chicken cuts and toss until well coated.

Add the buttermilk and toss until the chicken cuts are well coated.

Place the bowl inside the fridge for about 6 hours.

In another mixing bowl, add garlic powder, paprika, flour, onion powder, white pepper, and salt. Whisk until well mixed.

Add the chicken cuts into the bowl with the flour mixture and toss again until well coated.

Place a Dutch oven on the stove and turn the heat to about 175 degrees C.

Add the peanut oil and allow it to become hot.

Add the chicken pieces and fry for about 10 minutes.

Flip the chicken and cook the other sides for 10 more minutes.

Place the fried chicken pieces onto a clean plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.

Serve hot and enjoy!
