INGREDIENTS
2 pounds 907 grams Pork tenderloin
1 teaspoon Ground sage
½ teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon Pepper
1 clove Garlic crushed
½ cup 120 milliliters Water
½ cup 100 grams Brown sugar
1 tablespoon Cornstarch
¼ cup 60 milliliters Balsamic Vinegar
½ cup 120 milliliters Water
2 tablespoons Soy sauce
INSTRUCTIONS
In a bowl, combine ground sage, salt, pepper, and crushed garlic to create a flavorful seasoning mixture.
Rub the seasoning mixture all over the pork tenderloin, ensuring it is evenly coated.
Pour half a cup of water into the slow cooker and place the seasoned pork tenderloin inside.
Optional: Add any additional herbs or sauces of your choice to further enhance the flavors.
Cook the pork tenderloin on low heat for approximately 6-8 hours, allowing it to become tender and juicy.
About an hour before the cooking time finishes, prepare the glaze. In a small pan, combine cornstarch, brown sugar, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, and water. Stir well until the ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
Heat the glaze mixture in a skillet over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it thickens to a desired consistency (approximately 4 minutes).
During the last hour of cooking, brush the pork tenderloin with the prepared glaze.
For a caramelized crust, remove the pork tenderloin from the crockpot, place it on a baking sheet, and generously brush it with the glaze. Broil it in the oven for 1-2 minutes until the glaze caramelizes and becomes bubbly. Repeat this step a few times for desired results.
Serve the succulent pork tenderloin with a side of the glaze, allowing the flavors to mingle and create a truly extraordinary dining experience.
NOTES
For an extra tender result, you can marinate the pork tenderloin in the seasoning mixture for a few hours or overnight in the refrigerator.
Experiment with different herbs and spices to customize the flavor profile according to your taste preferences.
If desired, you can add vegetables such as carrots or potatoes to the slow cooker for a complete meal.
Make sure to monitor the broiling step closely to prevent burning.
