I love to put a fun twist to my favourite classic meals. I enjoy using frozen ravioli instead of lasagna noodles for this extraordinary ravioli lasagna. This is super cheesy, packed with amazing flavour, and a sure winner! Try this very soon, I am pretty sure that you’ll love this ravioli lasagna as much as we do.

INGREDIENTS

1 small onion diced

1 lb ground beef

1 large egg

24 oz. marinara

2 c. ricotta cheese

3 cloves garlic minced

¼ c. Parmesan cheese

½ tsp onion powder

25 oz. frozen cheese ravioli

¼ c. chopped parsley

1 tsp garlic powder

minced parsley for garnish

2 c. shredded mozzarella

HOW TO MAKE RAVIOLI LASAGNA

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees. Using a non-stick spray, grease a 13 x 9-inch baking dish.

Step 2: Add the ground beef and onion to a hot large skillet. Cook over medium heat, breaking the meat apart as it cooks until no longer pink. When done, drain the grease from the pan.

Step 3: To the skillet, add the marina sauce and garlic. Let everything simmer for about 5 minutes over low heat, stirring occasionally.

Step 4: Meanwhile, add the ricotta, egg, Parmesan, parsley, garlic powder, and onion powder in a small bowl. Mix well until blended.

Step 5: Into the prepared baking dish, spoon 1/3 of the meat mixture, spreading it across the bottom. Top the meat mixture with one layer of ravioli, then half of the ricotta mixture and 1/3 of the sauce. Do the same layers, ending in marina sauce.

Step 6: Over the last layer, sprinkle the shredded mozzarella. Tightly cover with foil and place in the preheated oven. Bake for about 40 minutes. Uncover and continue to bake for another 10 minutes.

Step 7: When done, take the lasagna out of the oven and sprinkle with minced parsley. Allow the lasagna to set for about 10 minutes. Slice and serve. Enjoy!
