How to make Meatball Wellington

Step 1: Combine the ground beef with breadcrumbs, egg, salt and pepper, minced onion, garlic cloves, and chopped parsley in a large mixing bowl. Form the mixture into about 1 1/2 inches small balls.

Step 2: On a parchment-lined baking sheet, place the meatballs. Pop in the broiler for about 7 to 10 minutes. Then, set the meatballs aside until cool enough to handle.

Step 3: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 400 degrees.

Step 4: Onto a floured work surface, lay the puff pastry squares. Onto the middle of each square, add a heaping tbsp of shredded mozzarella.

Step 5: On top of the cheese, place a meatball. Wrap the cheese around it.

Step 6: On a parchment-lined baking sheet, place the wrapped meatball, seam-side down. Then, brush with egg wash.

Step 7: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake the meatballs for about 25 minutes. Remove from the oven when done and serve the meatball Wellington over tomato sauce. Garnish with some basil and Parmesan.

Step 8: Serve and enjoy!
