How to make Hamburger Potato Cheese Casserole
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees.
Step 2: After peeling the potatoes, slice them and set them aside.
Step 3: Cook the ground beef and onion in a medium skillet over medium heat. Allow it to simmer for about 5 to 10 minutes. Remove from the skillet when done and set aside.
Step 4: Place the mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl. Combine until well incorporated.
Step 5: Using a nonstick spray, grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
Step 6: In the bottom of the greased baking dish, layer half of the potatoes and top with half of the ground beef mixture. On top, pour half of the soup mixture and cover with the sliced cheddar cheese. Make another layer, then top with the rest of the sliced cheese.
Step 7: Using foil, tent the casserole. Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 40 to 50 minutes. Uncover and continue baking for an additional 15 to 20 minutes or until the potatoes are fork-tender.
Step 8: When done, take the casserole from the oven and allow it to stand for approximately 10 minutes. Serve garnished with parsley. Enjoy!
