I have leftover ham in the fridge, and the best way to use them up is this ham and cheese quiche. Made with a few simple ingredients and ready in less than an hour, this quiche would be your new favourite! Rich, cheesy, and perfect to serve for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

This quiche is very easy to whip up, versatile, and an excellent way to use leftovers. To save time, I use frozen pie crust and fill it up with a little onion, some eggs, half-and-half, cheddar cheese, Swiss cheese, and ham. Oftentimes, I use bacon in place of ham. If you want to enhance the flavour, you can saute the ham with the onions. Serve this quiche either warm or chilled.

Ingredients

4 eggs, lightly beaten

1 tbsp butter

1/2 medium yellow onion, chopped

1 c. half-and-half

1/4 tsp salt

1 1/2 c. diced ham

1/4 tsp black pepper

1 deep dish frozen pie crust

1 c. shredded Swiss cheese

1 c. shredded cheddar cheese

How to make Easy Ham and Cheese Quiche

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 375 degrees.

Step 2: In a small nonstick pan, melt the butter. Once the butter has melted, add the onion to the pan and cook until soft. Set aside when done and allow the onion to cool for a little.

Step 3: Place the eggs, half-and-half, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Beat until well combined. Then, stir in the ham, shredded Swiss cheese, and cheddar cheese. Lastly, stir in the cooked onion.

Step 4: Into the pie crust, pour the filling. On a baking sheet, set the pie crust and place it in the preheated oven. Bake for about 40 to 45 minutes or until set.

Step 5: Remove from the oven when done and serve the quiche warm or chilled. Enjoy!
