Ingredients

1 pound of ground beef

1 tube of Pillsbury Pizza Dough

1 teaspoon garlic powder

5 Colby jack and cheddar cheese sticks, halved

1 teaspoon dried parsley

How to make Cheesy Taco Sticks

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 425 degrees F. Using a non-stick spray, lightly grease a large baking sheet and set aside.

Step 2: In a skillet, cook the ground beef, breaking the meat as it cooks using a wooden spoon until thoroughly browned. Grease the excess grease and return the meat to the skillet on the stovetop. Then, stir in the taco seasoning packet without water until the meat is completely coated. Set aside when done and cool at room temperature.

Step 3: In the meantime, spread the pizza dough flat. Cut it in half lengthwise, then four cuts up and down to make 10 small rectangles. In the centre of each pizza dough, add about 1 tbsp or so of the taco meat and top with a halved cheese stick. Roll the pizza stick carefully and pinch all the seams to close.

Step 4: In a small bowl, whisk the melted butter with garlic powder and parsley. On the tops of the cheesy taco sticks, brush the melted butter mixture. Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 10 to 12 minutes or until the top is golden.

Step 5: Remove from the oven when done and serve the cheesy taco sticks hot with your preferred taco toppings. Enjoy!

Note:

In this recipe, you can use leftover taco meat.
