CHOCOLATE COVERED CHERRIES

These heavenly treats will surely light up your day! I have listed all the ingredients and directions so all you have to do is to follow them step by step and you are good to go! Ingredients:

3 cups powdered sugar

1/4 cup margarine or butter

1/4 cup condensed sweetened milk (not evaporated)

4 teaspoons vanilla extract

A pinch salt

1 package of high-end chocolate chips (milk, semi-sweet, or dark)

1 jar(s) maraschino cherries, drained and dried, reserve the juice.

In a large mixing bowl, add the sugar, butter, milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Beat until well mixed.

Place it inside the fridge to chill for about an hour.

Line with wax paper a baking sheet.

Add the cherries onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it evenly.

Place the cherries inside the freezer for about an hour.

Remove the fondant from the fridge as well as the cherries.

Get 2 tsp of the fondant, then wrap each cherry with it. Form each into a ball.

Arrange the coated cherries onto the baking sheet, then place them inside the freezer to chill for another hour.

Place the chocolate inside the microwave and heat it until melted completely. Stir until creamy.

Remove the coated cherries from the freezer, then dip each into the melted chocolate. Make sure to coat them well.

Put them back inside the freezer and allow them to chill for a few minutes.

Serve and enjoy!

Note:

Place any leftovers in an airtight container, then place them inside the freezer to keep them fresh.
