PESTO SHRIMP MUSHROOM PASTA

This recipe has always been my favourite. It was recommended to me by my friend, and I’ve been cooking it ever since! With these basic ingredients, you will have the best meal today! I have listed all the ingredients and directions so you just have to follow them for they will guide you to perfection! Just take a look at the photo. Ingredients:

1 tbsp olive oil

1 lb shrimp large, peeled, deveined

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp red pepper flakes

1 tbsp olive oil

8 oz white mushrooms sliced

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 c basil pesto

1/2 c chicken broth

8 ounces spiral pasta

chopped fresh basil

Directions:

Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.

Add olive oil and allow it to become hot.

Add the shrimp, 1/4 tsp of red pepper flakes, and 1/4 tsp of salt. Cook the shrimp for 3 minutes on each side until pink.

Remove the shrimp from the skillet onto a clean plate.

In the same skillet, add 1 tbsp of olive oil and allow it to become hot.

Add the mushrooms slices and 1/4 tsp of salt. Stir and cook for 1 minute.

Put the shrimp back to the skillet, then pour in 1/2 cup of chicken broth and 1/2 cup of basil pesto. Stir until well combined. Remove from the heat.

Refer to the directions provided on the pasta package on how to cook it.

Drain and rinse with cold water.

Serve the pasta with the delicious sauce on top.

Garnish with freshly chopped parsley. Enjoy!
