Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1/2 tsp salt

Pinch of black pepper

1 oz packet taco seasoning or about 3 1/2 tbsp homemade taco seasoning

2 c water

1 c jarred mild salsa

8 oz uncooked rotini pasta

1 1/2 c shredded Mexican-style cheese

Optional toppings – chopped tomatoes avocado, crushed tortilla chips, chopped cilantro

How to make One-Pot Cheesy Taco Pasta

Step 1: Prepare a large deep skillet. Preheat it to medium heat.

Step 2: Add the ground beef into the hot skillet and season with salt and pepper.

Step 3: Brown the meat until completely cooked, stirring occasionally.

Step 4: Once done, drain excess grease.

Step 5: Add the taco seasoning into the skillet with the beef and stir. Pour in the water and add in the salsa and pasta noodles. Stir until well incorporated.

Step 6: Bring this to a boil.

Step 7: Stir the mixture and cover. Then, decrease the heat to a simmer.

Step 8: Continue to cook for another 15 minutes or until the pasta is tender.

Step 9: Turn the heat off, then stir in the cheese.

Step 10: If needed, season with extra salt and pepper.

Step 11: If desired, serve with optional toppings. Enjoy!
