Ingredients:

8 chicken thighs – (skinless and boneless)

2 tablespoons cornflour – (cornstarch)

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon pepper

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 tablespoon unsalted butter

4 cloves minced garlic

⅓ c (110g) honey

⅓ c (80ml) chicken stock

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 tablespoon light soy sauce

To Serve:

1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh parsley

½ teaspoon chilli flakes

In a mixing bowl, add the cornflour, chicken thighs, salt, and pepper. Toss until the chicken thighs are well coated.

Place a frying pan on the stove and turn the heat to medium.

Add oil and allow it to become hot.

Add the chicken thighs and cook each side for about 5 minutes or until they turn golden brown.

Add butter and allow it to melt.

Add the butter and sauté until aromatic.

In a mixing bowl, add the stock, honey, soy sauce, and rice vinegar. Stir until well combined.

Add the sauce into the pan and stir until just mixed.

Adjust the heat to medium-high, then allow the mixture to boil.

Simmer for about 5 minutes or until the texture of the sauce becomes thick.

Garnish with parsley and chilli flakes.

Serve over rice and enjoy!

Notes:

Feel free to use dark soy sauce instead of light soy sauce.

You can also use apple cider vinegar instead of rice vinegar.
