This salad recipe will be the easiest thing you will ever try! This was my Grandma’s recipe. I am so grateful to her for teaching me how to eat healthy foods. This is the best example of that! This recipe has always been a part of my family since I was a little kid. Grams used to make a salad but this one has always been my favourite. Now, I get to share it with you. I am so excited! I have listed all the ingredients and directions so all you have to do is to follow them step by step and you are good to go! Feel free to tweak this recipe to your liking. Add your preferred veggies, that’s okay as long as there is Maple Vinaigrette. It is the best thing about this salad! Anyway, have a blissful day, friends. I hope you are all well today. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
For the salad:
6 c fresh spinach, washed and dried
1/3 c red onion, thinly sliced
1 c fresh blackberries, washed and dried
1 c fresh strawberries, washed, dried, and sliced
1/3 c raw walnuts, chopped
For the dressing:
3 tablespoons real maple syrup
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard or any other vegan substitute
A pinch of sea salt
Directions:
In a large mixing bowl, add the spinach, blackberries, strawberry slices, walnuts, and red onions.
In a mason jar, add the balsamic vinegar, maple syrup, Dijon mustard, olive oil, and salt. Close and shake the jar until all the ingredients inside are well blended.
