Ingredients:

3 c all-purpose flour

½ c white sugar

½ tsp salt

1 c margarine

4 Eggs

1 ½ c light corn syrup

1 ½ c white sugar

3 tbsp margarine, melted

1 ½ tsp vanilla extract

2 ½ c chopped pecans

Directions:

Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.

Step 2: Apply cooking spray in a 10×15-inch jellyroll pan.

Step 3: Add flour, salt, and 1/2 cup of sugar into a large mixing bowl. Stir until well mixed.

Step 4: Add 1 cup of margarine and stir until well mixed.

Step 5: Transfer the mixture into the greased pan and press it.

Step 6: Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes.

Step 7: Meanwhile, in a large mixing bowl, add eggs, 1 1/2 cup of sugar, corn syrup, vanilla, and 3 tbsp of margarine. Beat until well combined.

Step 8: Add the chopped pecans and stir until well mixed.

Step 9: Transfer the mixture on top of the crust and spread it evenly.

Step 10: Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for about 25 minutes or until done.

Step 11: Remove from the oven and let it sit at room temperature to cool.

Step 12: Slice into small bars.

Step 13: Serve and enjoy!
