Ingredients:

3 c sugar

1 c margarine, softened

1 tsp vanilla extract

4 Eggs

3 ½ c all-purpose flour

2 tsp baking soda

¼ tsp salt

1 c buttermilk

6 very ripe bananas, mashed

Directions:

Prepare the oven and preheat to 325 degrees F.

Apply cooking spray in a 9×13-inch baking pan.

Add the margarine and sugar into a large mixing bowl. Beat until well blended.

Add eggs gradually and beat every addition.

Add the vanilla and stir until well blended.

In another mixing bowl, add baking soda, flour, and salt. Whisk until well combined.

Transfer the flour mixture into the egg mixture. Beat until well mixed.

Add buttermilk and beat until well blended.

Add the mashed bananas and stir until well mixed.

Transfer the batter into the greased baking pan.

Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for 1 hour or until a toothpick comes out clean after inserting it in the middle.

Remove from the oven and allow it to cool at room temperature.
