Ingredients:
BREAD PUDDING
2 cups whole milk
1/4 cup butter, softened
1/3 cup sugar
3 Eggs
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
3 cups bread, torn into pieces (any bread, although french bread or raisin bread is great)
1/4 cup raisins
SAUCE:
1 cup whole milk
2 Tablespoons butter, softened
1/3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 Tablespoon flour
dash(es) salt
Directions:
Step 1: Place a saucepan on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Step 2: Add milk and allow it to become hot.
Step 3: Add the butter and stir until melted completely and well blended with the milk. Remove from the heat.
Step 4: In a mixing bowl, add the eggs, cinnamon, sugar, and vanilla. Beat until well mixed.
Step 5: Pour the milk-butter mixture and stir until just mixed.
Step 6: In a casserole dish, add the pieces of bread.
Step 7: Spread the batter over the bread and sprinkle raisins over.
Step 8: Place the casserole dish inside the oven and bake for 50 minutes at 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F until done.
To Make the Sauce:
Step 1: Place a saucepan on the stove and turn the heat to low.
Step 2: Add all the ingredients for the sauce and stir until just mixed, then allow the mixture to boil.
Step 3: Remove from the heat and allow it to cool.
Step 4: Pour the sauce over the bread pudding.
Step 5: Serve and enjoy!
