Ingredients:
5 cups ripe juicy peaches, sliced
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/4 stick butter
BISCUIT TOP ( BELOW )
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 stick butter
1/2 cup milk
Directions:
Prepare the oven and preheat to 218 degrees C or 425 degrees F.
Let the peaches soak into boil water for a minute, then peel them.
Slice the peaches into wedges, then arrange them into a 10-inch baking dish.
Add sugar, vanilla, cornstarch, and cinnamon. Stir until well mixed.
Sprinkle the mixture on top of the peaches.
Add dots of butter over the peaches.
Cover the top with the biscuit dough.
Add flour, baking powder, and salt into a mixing bowl. Whisk until well mixed.
Add the shortening and milk. Stir until well blended.
Roll the dough into 1/4-inch, then put it on top of the peaches.
Seal the edges by crimping them. Make a steam vent in the middle.
Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes.
Turn the heat down to 325 degrees F, then bake for another 15 minutes or until the top turns golden.
Remove from the oven and allow it to cool at room temperature.
Serve and enjoy!
