CHICKEN MARSALA WITH MUSHROOMS RECIPE

Ingredients:

For the Chicken

2 Chicken Breasts

¼ c All-purpose Flour

½ tsp Salt

½ tsp Black Pepper

1 tbsp Italian Seasoning or Oregano

1 tbsp Olive Oil

1 tbsp Butter

For the Sauce

1 tbsp Butter

2 cloves Garlic chopped

11.3 oz Mushrooms fresh, sliced

1 c Marsala Wine

Salt pinch

½ c Chicken Stock or Broth

⅓ c Liquid Cream

To Garnish:

Parsley fresh, chopped

Directions:

For the Chicken:

Slice each chicken breast lengthwise.

Add flour, Italian seasoning, oregano, salt, and pepper into a mixing bowl. Whisk until well mixed.

Add the chicken slices into the flour mixture and coat each well.

Place a pan on the stove and turn the heat to medium.

Add olive oil and butter. Allow them to become hot and melt.

Add the chicken slices and cook each side until golden brown.

Remove from the pan onto a clean plate.

To Make the Sauce:

In the same pan, add butter and allow it to melt.

Add the garlic and saute until aromatic.

Add the mushrooms and cook for a few minutes.

Add the marsala wine and scrape the bottom of the pan to get the brown bits.

Sprinkle salt and stir until well blended. Cook for another 2 minutes.

Add the liquid cream and chicken stock. Stir until well blended.

Turn the heat down to low and allow the sauce to become thick.

Remove from the heat and put the chicken pieces back into the pan. Toss until well coated with the delicious sauce.

Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley on top.

Serve and enjoy!
