Ingredients:
FRITTERS
1 1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1-1/2 teaspoons nutmeg
2/3 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 large eggs, beaten
1 tablespoon butter, melted
3 cups apples, peeled and chopped
TOPPING
cinnamon sugar
thin glaze, confectioners sugar, and milk
powdered sugar
Directions:
Place a frying pan on the stove and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Add oil and allow it to become hot.
In a mixing bowl, add all the dry ingredients. Flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Beat until well mixed.
In another mixing bowl, add vanilla, milk, butter, and eggs. Beat until well combined.
Transfer the egg mixture into the flour mixture, then stir until well mixed.
Add the apples and toss until well coated.
Spoon the mixture and drop each into the hot oil. Cook for about 5 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
Remove from the oil onto a clean plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil. Repeat the process with the rest of the batter.
Roll each fritter into a bowl with powdered sugar or cinnamon. Coat each well.
Serve and enjoy!
