Mac & Cheese is always a hit at my house. The kids love it, so I am pretty sure they will enjoy this delectable, better than the original Ranch Mac ‘N Cheese. Incredibly creamy, and incredibly rich with an amazing ranchy flavour. The ultimate comfort food is perfect for everybody!
I grew up with people who love food. My mom is a chef, my dad is a food critic, and my older brother was taking culinary arts. Imagine our pantry; it’s never empty, my mom and brother always in the kitchen cooking and experimenting, while my dad and I are the taste testers! It’s crazy how we enjoy spending more time in the kitchen than going out. But we valued every moment.
This creamy Ranch Mac ‘N Cheese is one of the best things of my childhood. It’s better than the traditional mac&cheese. It’s velvety with exciting flavours that are super impossible to say no to.
INGREDIENTS
1 lb Gemelli Or Elbow Pasta
4 tbsp Unsalted Butter
4 tbsp All-Purpose Flour
3 c. Whole Milk
2 tsp Hidden Valley® Original Ranch® Seasoning & Salad Dressing Mix Shaker
2 c. Grated Sharp Cheddar Cheese
HOW TO MAKE RANCH MAC ‘N CHEESE – CREAMY
Step 1: Following the package directions, cook the pasta. Drain when done and set aside.
Step 2: In the meantime, melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in the flour once the butter starts to foam until smooth. This takes about 2 to 3 minutes. Add in the milk followed by the seasoning mix. Stir and continue to cook for another 5 minutes until thickened.
Step 3: When done, remove the pan from the heat. Immediately whisk in the cheese until melted before adding in the cooked pasta. Toss to combine and serve hot. Enjoy!
