Ingredients:

1 c butter

1 ¾ c white sugar

2 Eggs

3 c all-purpose flour

½ tsp baking soda

½ tsp salt

¼ tsp ground nutmeg

1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions:

Add butter and sugar into a mixing bowl. Beat until creamy.

Add the eggs gradually and beat every addition until well mixed.

Add the vanilla extract and stir until well blended.

In another mixing bowl, add baking soda, flour, nutmeg, and salt. Whisk until well combined.

Transfer the flour mixture into the bowl with the butter mixture. Stir until well combined.

Sprinkle flour on a flat surface, then place the dough on it. Knead until the texture becomes smooth.

Cover the dough, then place it inside the fridge until firm.

Prepare the oven and preheat to 165 degrees C or 325 degrees F.

Sprinkle flour on a flat surface, then place the dough on it.

Roll and slice it into 1/4-inch thick cuts.

Arrange them onto cookie sheets. Make sure to leave a space between each dough.

Place them inside the preheated oven and bake for about 10 minutes or until done.

Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to cool completely at room temperature.

Serve and enjoy!
