Everyone is crazy over this easy breakfast casserole. Make this ahead and freeze for later. This is an excellent side dish to impress your guests. No one can’t go wrong with tater tots, sausage, and cheese combined. A delicious casserole that will leave you satisfied and your tummy is happy!

Ingredients:

2 pounds hot breakfast sausage

1 (30-32 ounces) bag frozen tater tots

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon onion powder

1-1/2 c shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 c mozzarella cheese

8 Eggs

2 c milk

HOW TO MAKE TATER TOT SAUSAGE BREAKFAST CASSEROLE:

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees F.

Step 2: Use cooking spray to lightly grease a 9 x 13-inch pan.

Step 3: Cook sausage in a large skillet until no longer pink. When done, drain excess fat.

Step 4: Place the tater tots, cooked sausage, and cheeses in a large bowl. Toss to combine and transfer into the prepared pan.

Step 5: In a different bowl, whisk the eggs, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and milk. And pour this over the tater tot mixture.

Step 6: If baking later, cover the dish and store in the fridge.

Step 7: If serving now, bake in the preheated oven for about 60 to 70 minutes, uncovered or until the eggs are set.

Notes:

Make this ahead of time and just place it in the fridge or freeze until ready to serve.

Add several minutes to the cooking time when baking after refrigerating.

When frozen, thaw completely and bake as instructed.

Same when reheating, thaw completely and cover using an aluminium foil. Bake for about 30 to 40 minutes at 350 degrees F or until heated through.
