Ingredients

1 tbsp olive oil

2 lbs chicken breasts

3 c of heavy cream

4 c of low sodium chicken broth

4 tbsp butter

2 cloves garlic smashed

1 lb of uncooked Penne pasta

1 c hot water

5 ounces freshly shredded Parmesan cheese

kosher salt and black pepper

HOW TO MAKE SLOW COOKER CHICKEN ALFREDO

Step 1: Pat dry the chicken breasts.

Step 2: Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper and sprinkle with garlic powder.

Step 3: Quickly sear the chicken breasts in hot oil over high heat on both sides.

Step 4: In a slow cooker, place the chicken breasts, heavy cream, chicken broth, butter, garlic cloves, and a tsp of kosher salt. Sprinkle with freshly ground black pepper.

Step 5: Cook for about 4 hours on low or 2 to 3 hours on high or until the chicken’s temperature hit 165 degrees.

Step 6: Take the chicken out of the slow cooker and allow to cool, then, slice.

Step 7: Pour a cup of water into the slow cooker and add in the uncooked penne pasta. Stir well.

Step 8: Cook for about 30 minutes on high or until the pasta is tender.

Step 9: Then, stir in the parmesan cheese, shredded chicken, and season with extra salt and black pepper.
